Nicole Morris spearheaded the regional approach to Healthiest Maryland Businesses and currently leads the worksite wellness efforts of the six-county Mid/Upper-Shore Region and oversees the six-county Central Region. Prior to her role as HMB Regional Lead, Nicole conceived the corporate wellness initiative Get Healthy Kent, rallying both large and small employers to be champions of wellness efforts, ultimately reaching over half of the county workforce. Nicole is also the Director for Chronic Disease Prevention at the Kent County Health Department where she manages programs in early childhood and school health, tobacco prevention and control, diabetes prevention and hypertension management. Nicole chairs the Kent County Community Health Coalition, and serves on the Board of Directors to the Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center as Secretary.
Nicole graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a Master's Degree in Nursing, and was the recipient of the Cynthia B. Northrup Award, presented to the Outstanding Graduate of the Community/ Public Health Nursing Specialty. She is a member of WELCOA Faculty, is credentialed as a Certified Worksite Wellness Program Manager and a Wellness Culture Coach®, and is a Certified Trainer for the CDC Work@Health® Program. She was named the 2016 Work@Health®. Outstanding Technical Assistance Provider by the CDC, recognizing her achievement in providing exceptional support to her trainees and Work@Health® at large.
She lives in Easton with her husband and two young daughters and loves spending her free time hiking, camping, and collecting National Parks Junior Ranger badges with her girls.
